When is Satyanarayan Pooja Performed?
The most popular is with Purnima or Full Moon Day. Although, it can be conducted during meaningful events like during the marriages of couples, birthdays and the like, or after completing a promise, business success, or even after a completion of a vow.
Important Elements of the Satyanarayan Pooja
Kalash Sthapana (Pot Installation): Symbolizing the divine presence, the Kalash filled with the water, which then holds mango leaves, and which is topped with a coconut is placed.
Ganesh Puja: This takes away all the hindrances.
Navagraha Puja: Worship of the nine planets, seeking for peace and harmony.

Offerings (Naivedya/Prasad): This is the special prasad of Panchamrit which comprises milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar. Sheera or Sooji Halwa is also included.
